I tried other vet facilities but have come back to VCA! Just the comfort walking in like Atlas and I are family is awesome, couple that with the genuine care the staff shows is wonderful. Atlas being an Amstaff was at times looked at as being a bad dog. When he walks into the Vernon VCA and gets greeted with "hey handsome" it's nice, thank you so much!

TO THE STAFF AT VCA ANIMAL HOSPITAL OF VERNON, THIS MORNING MY DAUGHTER NOTICED OUR OLDER CAT "NANA" HAD PEED OUT BLOOD. I KNOW THAT IS A SIGN OF A "UTI" I CALLED AND I GOT AN APPT. WITHIN 45 MINUTES OF MY CALL. I WAS SEEN WITHIN 5 MINUTES. MY "NANA" RECEIVED EXCELLENT CARE SHE MADE ME AND MY CAT COMFORTABLE. MY CAT RECEIVED A SHOT THAT WILL KNOCK OUT THE UTI. MY OTHER CONCERNS WERE TAKEN CARE OF AS WELL. I LOVE THE CONVENIENCE OF THE OFFICE. THANK YOU TO THE ENTIRE STAFF AT VCA

We would like to thank Dr. Aronson and the staff in the Vernon office for the wonderful care they took of our 16 year old cat, Wilson, and our 15 year old dog Kayla. Sadly we lost them both in 2010 and we will miss them forever. Dr. Aronson has been our vet for all of our animals and he has treated them all with his expert skills and with his compassion for animals. We will always be grateful and will continue to see Dr. Aronson with our cat Toby.

I have always be amazed at the care provided for our cats at VCA Vernon. Despite there being a VCA in East Hartford, we willingly choose to drive to Vernon for our animals care. They were very compassionate when we lost our 11-year young cat Ziti last year, making it a easier time for us all. I just wish they were the 7 day a week/emergency vet!
You Saved My Baby's Life-Dan from Vernon, CT
Pet Name: Daisy and Diesel
It is Friday 11-13-09. I just received a phone call from my wife as I am in NY at work. I could hear in her voice that something had just gone terribly wrong as she began to tell me the events that had just taken place. We have 2 six month old Boxers, Daisy and Diesel. Apparently Daisy got her bone she was chewing stuck in her throat. She was making an awful sound that my wife hadn't heard before. When she realized the emergency and saw that Daisy wasn't able to get air, my wife tried to get the bone from her throat. Daisy had already been drooling and vomiting. The bone just wasn't coming unstuck from her throat. Quickly my wife thought to get Daisy in the car and proceeded to race to the VCA animal hospital in Vernon, which is our regular vet for both our dogs and 3 cats. She made it in about 3 minutes, but Daisy had gone unconscious and stopped breathing just minutes before arriving. Hysterically my wife raced Daisy into the vet where both the staff immediately jumped in to help and quickly Dr. Donald Aronson went into action. He was able to get the bone out and then gave heart compressions to get my baby back to life! She seems to be doing fine now and will be resting. Then we got a bill for only $53. I feel as if you deserve more and at minimum I am writing this to show my gratitude. My wife would have been a mess and me, a grown man, would have cried if we had lost our baby. You gave Diesel his sister back, Daisy her life back, and lots of respect and thankfulness from my family and myself.

I was truly amazed at the skill, care and compassion shown to me and my cat Precious by Dr. Aronson and his Assistant. I had to cancel 2 previous appts because I could not get my cat in a carrier. I decided I would not make another appt for fear of having to cancel again and would just call the office if and when I did get her in the carrier. I was hoping and praying your office would let me come right in and you did. You handled my terrified cat and me with such compassion and understanding. I can't thank you enough. Your office is the best. Thank you too to your receptionist who was so pleasant also.

After having to cancel at least 2 appts. In the past yr. because I was unable to get my cat in a carrier, your office was very understanding and never made me feel bad. I decided instead of having to possibly cancel another appt I would just call your office if and when I was able to get her in the carrier with the hopes that you would let us come right in. Well the miracle happened and I called your office. what a relief it was for me that I was told we could come in. The care and compassion for me and my precious from everyone on staff was appreciated. Dr. Aronson and his Assistant were amazing in handling my terrified cat and showed such compassion.
