On Friday, March 29, 2013, staff and clients of VCA University Veterinary Clinic gathered in remembrance of the late Dr. David E. Jackson. At this same time last year, Dr. Jackson suffered a massive stroke, and it was only appropriate to commemorate him on this day. Jay Kershenstein, hospital manager, led us in prayer as we expressed our gratitude for having known Dr. Jackson. There were tears, laughter and smiles as we shared stories of how he had personally touched all of us. Shortly thereafter, everyone gathered in the parking lot to release about two dozen white balloons with messages to Doc on them. As we think about and remember him, may Doc forever rest in peace. We love you Doc.
