Veterinary Tech School: Pima Medical Institute
Please join me in welcoming Jamie to the VCA Tri City team! Since her graduation from Pima Medical Institute in 2013, Jamie has gained experience in shelter medicine, emergency triage and intensive care, as well as preventative medicine. We are looking forward to her sitting for the national test to become a certified veterinary technician this summer and wish her the best of luck! In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies, and hiking. Jamie currently shares her home with 2 cats, Jasmine and Cheddar, and a black pit-bull mix named Charger.
Please join me in welcoming Chelsea to the VCA Tri City team. Chelsea started with us March 2016, with previous experience in both general practice and shelter medicine. She has a strong passion for patient care and excellent technical skills, especially in surgery. Chelsea also worked for a VCA hospital in Texas, then lived in Seattle, and recently settled into the Phoenix area. We are glad to have her back in the VCA family. Stay tuned for updated information and a photo coming soon!
Veterinary Tech School: Kaplan College
Snow was another staff member who came to us in the summer of 2013. Snow graduated in March 2014, from Kaplan College, with an associate's degree in veterinary technology. She is now eligible to sit for the national exam, that upon passing, will make her a certified veterinary technician! It has been a childhood dream of Snow's to work with animals for a living; which is understandable since she has a total of 13 pets at home! Her favorite part of being a veterinary assistant is helping our doctors with exams, drawing blood, and dispensing the necessary medications to help pets get and stay healthy. We appreciate all of Snow's hard work since her hiring and we are excited to cheer her on as she moves forward in her career in veterinary medicine!
School: Mesa Community College
Ashley was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona; she joins Shanna as another one of our Arizona natives. Ashley has been in the veterinary field since 2003 and joined the VCA TriCity family in 2005. She attended Mesa Community College for 2 years and would like to go back to school in order to become a certified veterinary technician. Within the veterinary field, she would especially like to learn more about radiographic interpretation and digital radiography in general. We hope to facilitate more of this for her once at our new hospital at the end of the year! Ashley's favorite part of her job is being able to witness the human/ animal bond our clients share with their pets. She currently shares her home with her 2 cats: Poe and Eric Roberts and enjoys attending concernts in her spare time.
