Amanda Pierce
Amanda joined VCA in 2004, working as a hospital manager at another VCA hospital. She became the hospital administrator at Toms River Animal Hospital in 2010. She has her A.S. degree from Ocean County College and has completed her certificate in business management, inventory management, and human resources. Amanda regularly attends continuing education to stay abreast of new medications and procedures in the veterinary field. Before joining VCA, Amanda was a buyer for Community Medical Center, and also owned her own restaurant. She is a member of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River and has served as a deacon. Amanda is also a member of the Berkeley Township and Ocean County Historical Societys. When not working, Amanda is married to her best friend, Brad and has one daughter, Gabriella. She enjoys spending time with her and family and friends. Her hobbies include traveling, dancing, scrapbooking, reading, seeing Broadway shows, and shopping. She shares her home with her pug, Princess, and cat, Sasha.

Melanie Parker
Melanie was born and raised in Toms River. She earned her BS degree from Green Mountain College and Ocean County College. Melanie joined our team 8 years ago as a receptionist. She worked so well with our boarders, Feline Friends rescue cats and hospitalized patients that she was promoted to kennel supervisor. Melanie was then promoted to Dr. Richard Levine's assistant, and in 2011, she was then promoted to hospital manager. Melanie will do anthing to help pets in need.
She has 3 cats at home, but considers all of our Feline Friends rescue cats her own. Her interests include being outdoors, anything creative, painting, camping, animals and vegetarian cooking.
