Steve Aho
Steve grew up on a small dairy farm in northern Minnesota where he was surrounded by animals all his life. He received his fashion merchandising degree from Pipestone Area Vocation Technical Institute, in Minnesota. He soon grew tired of the snow and cold and moved to the west coast. He and his partner Ren currently reside in Hollywood with their two cats Painter and Peaches. Tim Rathke
Receptionist
Tim Rathke
Tim Rathke, a Northern Illinois native, is a receptionist here at VCA TLC. He has been an actor/performer since the age of 6. However, he found his passion for our little friend outweighed the stereotypical "actor/waiter" lifestyle. So, Tim danced his way into our doors in 2006, and he has been entertaining our patients, clients, and staff ever since.
Currently awaiting his BIG BREAK, he can also occasionally be seen making the masses laugh as a stand-up comedian. VCA-TLC has also brought him his first voice over gig as our infamous recorded greeting! His other interests include music, piano, dance, and culinary exploration.
It brings him much joy to help provide comfort and happiness to our companions and their owners.

China Stowell
Receptionist
China Stowell
China started out her career with animal by volunteering at a small animal hospital in the valley as well as the West Valley Animal Shelter. Her experience took her to caring for pets at a busy doggy day care in Studio City where she was able to work more closely with pets and their owners. We were lucky to have China join our team at VCA TLC in 2010 as a receptionist and technician assistant. China loves working with the animals at VCA TLC and helping to make them happy and healthy. China is currently enrolled in Los Angeles Pierce College and planning to enter the veterinary technology program very soon.
