Roxanne Batt, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Roxanne Batt grew up the daughter of a military family that moved frequently in her childhood. She was able to enjoy various small pets that moved with the family including: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, and aquarium fish. She loved helping them and the many small wild creatures that needed her care. Her love of animals and enjoyment of science led her to decide on a veterinary career when she reached high school. Dr. Batt went to Colorado State University for her undergraduate and professional Veterinary Degree graduating in 1984. She and her husband, John, moved to southern California after graduation. There she opened and owned a small animal/exotics practice for 21 years. While in California she and John developed a passion for horses and riding. They decided to move to a more open and rural environment choosing Prescott as their perfect site to have a ranch and all their pets. They now share their home with 4 horses, 2 dogs, 4 cats and a flock of chickens " “the girls”. Dr. Batt came to VCA Thumb Butte Animal Hospital in 2007. She has a strong interest in internal medicine and geriatric care. She loves having long term relationships with her patients and their owners. In her spare time she rides the “ponies”, gardens, and crafts homemade wines.
