Lori Ouzoonian, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Lori Ouzoonian is from southern New York, where she grew up in the small town of Warwick. She attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, she relocated to St. Paul Minnesota where she completed her veterinary degree at the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine. While at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Ouzoonian participated in research at the Masonic Cancer Center in Minneapolis focusing on Canine Hemangiosarcoma cancer stem cells and the effects on these cells by a class of drugs called Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors. After veterinary school, Dr. Ouzoonian moved to Denver, Colorado where she continued her training with an intensive small animal internship at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital.
Her professional interests include ophthalmology, emergency medicine, small animal internal medicine, and preventative medicine. In her free time, Dr. Ouzoonian enjoys reading with a cat on her lap, rollerblading, and hiking in beautiful Colorado with her Airedale Terrier.
