Dr.. Huggin's veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and doing her part in promoting the human-animal bond. She and her husband Todd are blessed with two awesome boys Nathan and Jack. They share their home with 2 cats, 1 dog, several fish and a seasonal rotation of caterpillars, beetles and occasional lizard. Outside of the office Dr. Huggins is a competitive triathlete (Team Podium) and enjoys hiking, kayaking, SCUBA diving and trail running. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor at Mercer University's School of Pharmacy. Dr. Huggins says: What I love most about veterinary medicine is the variety, not only in my patients but in my job description. I get to be a pediatrician, surgeon, internist, oncologist, end of life specialist and most importantly a friend. In vet medicine we are not tethered by rules about loving our patients. I love nothing more than connecting with a owner or family and seeing them through the following years as we care for their beloved pet together.
