Hospital AdministratorMaya Donnelly
Maya was introduced to the Veterinary field over 11 years ago in her first position as a Client Service Representative. Maya enjoyed her summer job so much with the interaction with people and pets, that 6 months later, she stayed and accepted her new role as Practice Manager. During her first year of management, Maya, with the assistance of her team and DVMs, became crossed trained as a Veterinary Assistant, gaining several technical skills. Two years into her employment, she was offered an opportunity to become a Business Partner at her hospital, and she gladly accepted the challenge. From there, she continued to grow the hospital from a one DVM to a six DVM practice. Maya was recognized in particular because of her efforts with hospital turn-around, development of team members, and increased annual profit. Soon after, a life event inspired Maya to return to school and pursue her passion for wisdom and the law. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Paralegal Degree and continues in schooling at Cal State East Bay University in which she is pursuing her Political Science Pre- Law Degree. Maya continues to enjoy working in the Veterinary field, because learning, rewarding work, making a difference, and developing others (as her mentor did with her) motivates her to stay at her best. In her spare time, she loves to travel, shop, and spend time with her godson Riley, best friends, and family.
