I was born and raised in Middletown, New York and moved to Florida in 2008 to attend the University of South Florida where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. I enjoy running, cooking, and rock climbing in my spare time and share my home with my cat, Sugar. In addition to joining the VCA Tampa Bay team in June of 2013, I also work at Lowry Park Zoo and enjoy playing a role in teaching young and old alike to have a greater understanding and appreciation for all animals. I love working at VCA Tampa Bay because it is a meaningful, rewarding, and fun job. It is great to see and be a part of the strong bond between owner and pet by providing high quality pet care.

When people ask where I'm from, I say I'm a mixture of Texas and Florida.  The first half of my up-bringing was in Texas and the other half Florida, both in small towns.  Growing up, you couldn't keep me away from animals.  I was always bringing something home to nuture.  My grandmother got me hooked on horses when I was 5.  Everybody knew if I was nowhere to be found, you would find me at the stables.  I recently moved to Tampa to further my education and receive my bachelor's degree in communication.  My dog Charlee only helps with half my homework, otherwise I find her dropping her ball at my feet wanting to play fetch.  VCA Tampa Bay has given me an amazing opportunity by letting me join their team.  Not only will I be surrounded by a loving atmosphere, but I'll be helping make a difference by providing care to  the owners and their pets.  That in itself is a great reward.
