Nicole, a Registered Veterinary Technician, graduated from Suffolk County Community College in 2011. She joined our practice last year after moving from New York. Nicole's passion for her job was evident immediately and we knew she'd be an amazing asset to our team. Nicole not only has a love for the pets in her care, but has a strong interest in training, inventory and equipment maintenance. Nicole was just recently promoted to our technician supervisor where she plays an important role in assuring the medical care in our hospital meets our strict AAHA standards. When not at work, Nicole likes to camp and spend time with her boyfriend Jonathon and their 2 cats and new puppy Buddy.
Registered Veterinary TechnicianKurt .
Kurt joined VCA Stoney Creek over a year ago from a practice in Virginia as one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians. Kurt has a special interest in feline medicine and is our designated "Cat Champion". Kurt is also our equipment maintenance manager and works hard to make sure we are using the most state of the art equipment available and that everything is properly maintained. Kurt's quick wit and sense of humor make him a joy to work with. When not at work, Kurt enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and his 6 rescued cats.
Veterinary AssistantBrandon .
Brandon joined our practice in 2015 and quickly became a integral part of our team. His hard work and never ending smile are appreciated by our doctors and staff alike. Brandon, who grew up on a military base, has traveled to many parts of the world. Originally from Germany, Brandon finally found his home in Stony Pint, NC. Brandon also has interests in exotic and large animal medicine and when not at work can be found at home caring for his horses or one of the many exotics he is licensed to rehabilitate. We are lucky to have such a fantastic team player and positive energy source. His love for all pets no matter their shape or size is apparent immediately when meeting him.
Veterinary AssistantCori .
Cori has been a veterinary assistant for over 11 years and joined us from a local emergency hospital where she worked in the ICU. Cori is always looking for additional work to take on and is now managing and maintaining our medical equipment in the treatment area along with Kurt. Cori's years in the ICU department are extremely valuable to our team and she takes great pride in the care she provides for pets in the hospital. Cori is originally from Charlotte and when not at work enjoys being a Mom to a beautiful little girl and 2 "four legged" children as well.
Veterinary AssistantKianna .
Kianna started in our kennel taking care of our boarding and daycare pets. She quickly showed an interest in the medical side of our hospital and started training to become a veterinary assistant. Kianna currently works with both our technicians and in the kennel on weekends. Kianna is a quick learner and takes great pride in her work. Several of the pictures you see on our website were taken by Kianna as her interests outside of work include photography. She shares her home with 3 dogs - one Sheltie and 2 Collies.
Veterinary AssistantSam .
Sam joined us over two years ago and started in our Doggie Day Care area. He was certainly a valued member of our kennel team and his quiet demeanor worked wonderfully with our dog and cat campers. In January of 2015 Sam was promoted to veterinary assistant and finally just recently to inventory manager. We are truly impressed with Sam's commitment to learning and this hospital. Sam is a team favorite and keeps all of us on our toes. He is truly a joy to work with! Sam enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Bailey, playing golf, lifting weights and quietly enjoying a good long book.
“The animals are always so happy to see you. It always brightens my day when I go into boarding or daycare and the dogs are jumping all over me because they are so excited!"
Veterinary AssistantStephanie .
Stephanie was born and raised in Queens, New York. Growing up, she always had pets including rabbits, birds, fish, dogs, hamsters, rats and mice. She has a great appreciation and a strong passion for animals. Being around animals since she was little, she grew attached to them and decided to work with them. She lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for 18 months (let’s go Pens!), where she attended school at the Vet Tech Institute and received her Associate in Specialized Technology Degree in Veterinary Technology. Steph also met Alex, her boyfriend, in their student housing complex in Pittsburgh. After graduating in December 2014, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in January 2015 to live with Alex and joined the VCA team. At home, Steph has a miniature poodle named Daisy who enjoys playing fetch. In Steph’s spare time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, playing tennis, cooking, ATV riding, bike riding, hanging out with her friends, playing the clarinet and going to sports games with her boyfriend.
