Veterinary Support

  • Technician Supervisor

    Jackie .

Jackie joined us in 2012 as our registered veterinary technician supervisor after pursuing her for months. We knew that Jackie would be a fantastic addition to our hospital and she has definitely proved us right! Jackie not only assists our wonderful doctors, she also manages our inventory and continuing education for our technicians, and meets directly with our medical director to assure our hospital is practicing the highest quality medicine available. Jackie also assisted in having having our hospital AAHA certified which is quite an honor for us.

In the very limited spare time Jackie has, she likes spending time with her husband and new baby Ryker and caring for their pets at home - Luke (Jack Russel)  and Emma (Chihuahua).

    Jess .

Jess joined out team in December of 2014 and quickly impressed us all with her dedication and teamwork.  She has always had a passion for animals starting from when she was just a young child and it is evident in her daily work.  After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Biology from Andrews Presbyterian College in 2009, she went on to complete Vet Tech school at Central Carolina Community College.  Jess has a house full of animals, including 4 dogs, 5 cats, 1 horse, a fish and a hamster.  In her free time Jess loves horseback riding or spending time relaxing with her many pets.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            "This profession is a dream come true for me, and I wouldn't have it any other way!"

  • Technician

    Stephanie .

Stephanie was born and raised in Queens, New York. Growing up, she always had pets including rabbits, birds, fish, dogs, hamsters, rats and mice. She has a great appreciation and a strong passion for animals. Being around animals since she was little, she grew attached to them and decided to work with them. She lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for 18 months (let’s go Pens!), where she attended school at the Vet Tech Institute and received her Associate in Specialized Technology Degree in Veterinary Technology. Steph also met Alex, her boyfriend, in their student housing complex in Pittsburgh. After graduating in December 2014, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in January 2015 to live with Alex and joined the VCA team. At home, Steph has a miniature poodle named Daisy who enjoys playing fetch. In Steph’s spare time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, playing tennis, cooking, ATV riding, bike riding, hanging out with her friends, playing the clarinet and going to sports games with her boyfriend.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Mike .

Mike has been with VCA over 10 years and truly enjoys helping animals. You will frequently find Mike in the exam rooms assisting our doctors and taking your pet's history but is well trained in all areas of our hospital. Mike is a quiet, well respected and dedicated employee who takes great pride in his work. At home Mike has two dogs, Reeses and Zoey and a cat Kaloni. If Mike is not busy assisting the doctors here at VCA Stoney Creek, he is fulfilling his duty as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy. In his limited spare time, Mike enjoys deep sea fishing.

"I enjoy my job because I feel like I am making a difference helping animals stay healthy on a daily basis"

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Sam .

Sam joined us last year and started in our Doggie Day Care area.  He was certainly a valued member of our kennel team and his quiet demeanor worked wonderfully with our dog and cat campers. In January of 2015 we decided to start the process of training Sam to be a veterinary assistant so you will soon see Sam in the exam rooms spending more time with our clients as well as the pets! We are truly impressed with Sam's commitment to learning and this hospital. Sam enjoys hitting the links and playing golf, lifting weights and quietly enjoying a good long book.

“The animals are always so happy to see you. It always brightens my day when I go into boarding or daycare and the dogs are jumping all over me because they are so excited!"
