ReceptionistGabrielle "Gabby" .
Gabby recently transferred to us from VCA Braelin Village in Atlanta,Georgia where she was born and raised. Gabby has been interested in working with animals since she was a little girl, and had a particular interest in primates after reading Gorillas in the Mist at age 11. She pursued her dream, and after graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2013 with a B.S. in Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation, she started working with injured and orphaned wildlife at the Blue Ridge Wildlife Institute. Soon after Gabby started interning at Zoo Atlanta in the Primate Department. She was eventually hired on as a Seasonal Primate Keeper, working with western lowland gorillas, Bornean and Sumatran (as well as hybrids of the two) Orangutans, and Golden lion tamarins. Lucky for us Gabby moved to the Charlotte area with her boyfriend and loved the idea of staying with VCA. In the near future we hope to use Gabby's expertise and education in helping us expand our practice to include birds and exotics (not quite the gorillas she's used to - but definitely some pocket pets!) Gabby enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, hiking, conservation work, playing with her pup, reading, and science and history museums.
We were lucky to find Lynn last year when we really needed some help up front. She is just what we needed! Not only does Lynn have years of veterinary medicine experience including managing, she is our resident m...arketing genius! All the cute pictures, helpful tips and promotions come directly from Lynn to your email. She does all this on top of making sure our clients and their babies are welcomed into the practice.
Lynn is an extremely organized and dedicated part of our team. We don't know what we'd do without her.
In her spare time Lynn likes to spend time with her family doing crafts and painting.
"My job is rewarding, adventurous, educational, exciting and never boring. Those are just some of the reasons I love working at VCA Stoney Creek Animal Hospital"
Sara has been with VCA over 7 years having originally started in kennel and eventually moving up to the smiling face that greets you when you walk in. Sara not only works at the front desk, making sure your pets are checked in and out as efficiently as possible, she does a lot of "behind the scenes" work as well. All the touching personal tributes to pet's you've lost are hand made by Sara as well as the get well and congratulatory cards you receive in the mail. If we're having our annual Client Appreciation Day Fall Festival, making some "Goodie Bags" for our patients or planning a staff event, you can bet Sara has her hand in making it successful. Dr. Hayden has affectionately named her our "Little Hospital Elf". Sara has three pets at home including Bella a Lab mix and Hayley and Shayki her two cats. Sara and her husband recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl Abigail Grace. The family attends Benton Heights Presbyterian Church and in their spare time enjoy hiking with Bella.
"I love my job because there is always something new and interesting going on. I like that I get to meet new people and pets all the time. Every day brings a new adventure and I love it!"
