Growing up, I had adults that I looked up to tell me that 'the sky is the limit'. Being the open-minded child I was, I challenged that and thought 'not for pilots, the sky is their playground' and so I had my heart set on aviation. Embry-Riddle was my dream college and I even considered the United States Navy. Fast forward a few years, when my family adopted a little black poodle mix from a local shelter. We named her Jazzy. Raising Jazzy changed everything. I got a part-time job as a kennel technician at a local puppy store. Sometime over the course of nearly three years at that store, I realized just how deep my passion for animals is. I even bought my male Schnoodle (Miniature Schnauzer and Miniature Poodle hybrid), named Crisis, from there and he's become quite literally my best friend. Enter VCA Stirling Square. In all the years I've spent in the pet industry, I've never met a group of people more passionate about animals. Every day is something new and exciting. 'Do what you love, and you'll never have to work a day in your life.'I currently have another rescued poodle mix, Kai (the poodle mixes are completely coincidental!) He's so funny when he eats treats, his favorite are bananas. I also have a fearsome bearded dragon, named Smaug, inspired by my favorite author, J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Hobbit'. I later found out that Smaug is a girl. One day, I'll raise a red fox.I would still love to learn how to fly.

    Frannie L.

My journey with VCA started as of September of 2014. While I may not have been here long I am absolutely in love with the hospital and staff. Each day is a pleasure knowing that when I walk through the hospital doors I will be greeted to a variety of wonderful animals and people that make a huge impact in my life. When I am not working I spend my days attending college full time, exercising, drawing, socializing, and bonding with my cat, Oyvayski. For almost three years now Oyvayski has brought much joy into my life and is a constant reminder of how much of a blessing it is to have the unconditional love of a pet. He is a incredibly spunky boy who, after being fed and playing, shows his soft, affectionate side. He also looks quite dashing in his tie. My lifelong goal, ever since I was a little girl, was to dedicate my life to help improve the quality of life for animals in need. I currently am working my way into becoming a Veterinary technician with a Bachelor's degree.

    Abie S.

My name is Abie and I am a Kennel Technician here at VCA Stirling. Like most of the staff here, I have a great passion for animals. I love being able to help not only the pets, but the owners that care so much for them. I am Currently working on my Associates in Zoology and am hoping to work with large exotic animals one day. Since I was little I have been eager to find out as much as I can about Earth's creatures so that I can do what I can to help them. At home I have a corgi-mix named Grace, a boxer named Molly, and a cockatiel named Milo.
