Biography
Dr. Molly Bechtold was awarded her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Bechtold participated in an Equine Medicine and Surgery Internship in San Diego, California. Dr. Bechtold then moved to Guam where she began practicing small animal medicine and surgery. While in Guam, Dr. Bechtold also participated in outreach programs providing community education and medical assistance for the large homeless population of cats and dogs in Guam.Following Dr. Bechtold's tenure in Guam, she returned to the United States and completed a one year internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Dogs and Cats Veterinary Referral in Bowie, MD. Following her second internship, Dr. Bechtold remained at DCVR for an additional 4 years working with Dr. Kathy Arrington in the Internal Medicine department where she received extensive training in Internal Medicine and abdominal ultrasonography.
Dr. Bechtold enjoys all aspects of Internal Medicine with a special interest in ultrasonography and advanced diagnostic imaging.
During her spare time time, Dr. Bechtold enjoys spending time with her family and "perfect dog" Shelby.
