Alaina's own pets include three dogs Lily, Jewl, and Eli. She enjoys spending time with her family, photography and the outdoors. Why I joined the Veterinary field: I enjoy working at VCA because of the talented doctors we are so fortunate to have. The compassion and knowledge they have and pass along is incredible. I feel safe to have my animal family cared for here; I know and trust that they are in good hands. I would love to continue to grow in this field, I feel this is the place I belong and can prosper the most. I get a sense of accomplishment leaving at the end of each day, if I can put a smile on at least one person or pet's face, I feel great!

I was born and raised in colorful Colorado. My husband's jobs have taken us to North Carolina, Colorado and now Maryland. Right now I am the proud fur Mom of two dogs. Daisy is my very spoiled but loveable Beagle and Blu is my hyper yet sweet Blue Tick Hound. Why I joined the field: I joined the animal field because I have always had a love of animals. Growing up we had several different pets, ranging from dogs to hamsters, to rabbits to fish. Now that I am grown up nothing has changed. When looking for a change in careers it only made sense that I would look for a job in the animal field.

Why I joined the Veterinary field: "I joined the veterinary field because I like hard work and I like to work hard, so I feel like this is a great field for me to follow. There is never a dull moment, you have to be on your toes all the time, and there is never ending opportunities to learn; plus, I love to see all of the cute fur balls come through our doors!"
