Your Exotic Pet

Dr. Teri Schweiss is a 1991 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.  While pursuing a veterinary degree, she worked her summers and holidays at a small zoo in Watertown.  Through years of extra study she has become proficient in medicine and surgery of most exotic species.  She is comfortable working with all avian species from Finches to Macaws and even poulty and waterfowl.  She enjoys working with reptiles though will not see venomous animal for the safety of her staff.  She has also worked extensively with rabbits, ferrets, rodents, guinea pigs, coatimundi, kinkajou, fennec fox, and other unusual exotics.  She is a long time member of the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians and the Association of Avian Veterinarians.  She has had extensive background in teaching and lecturing on various exotic pet topics to veterinary groups, veterinary technician schools, and specialty clubs.
