Pet Adoptions
We are deeply committed to the health and well being of every pet, not just the pets in our care. That is why we work with local shelters to help lost and abandoned animals in our community find new homes.
It isn't just our hospital. The entire family of VCA Animal Hospitals works with shelters and humane societies across the United States to promote successful pet adoptions.
Part of that work is helping you prepare for adopting a pet, because we believe that an informed owner is more likely to adopt the right pet and less likely to return the animal to the shelter. Our Mission: To provide comprehensive animal control services and programs to our communities for the protection of animals, public health and safety, and the environment. Where appropriate, the Center will responsibly place unclaimed animals into new adoptive homes.

Sterling Animal Shelter
The Animal Shelter Inc. of Sterling, MA is a non-profit organization (formed in 1988) with no time or age restrictions. The shelter exists to provide humane sheltering and high quality medical care for stray, unwanted and abandoned pets looking for homes.
