  I do not know where to begin. My brother recommended Dr Mauro and Southgate to me for my 2 year old Rotty/Shepard mix Casey in 1999 due to I was unhappy with the vet I was using. Dr Mauro and her staff are the most loving, caring, friendly group of people with the biggest hearts I have ever known. She always had Casey's best interests at heart and never steered me wrong. Because of her and her staff and the care she always received and the neurodic mommy, Casey lived a very Long and Healthy life until recently.   From I adopted my first Maine coon and my second one Dr. Mauro and her staff were nothing but professional, compassionate and as loving to my cats as i am to them. They are affordable aware always there to answer your questions whenever you call. Dr. Mauro gives my babies too many kisses whenever we go there and she provides us with a wealth of information. We love South gate.

  After bad experiences with vets, I found Dr. Mauro about 10 years ago. She is the best you will ever find. She and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and so very kind. I recently had to put my sweet Willie to sleep, and thanks to Dr. Mauro and her staff, I did not feel alone and it was a very peaceful experience. Needing a companion for my other cat, I immediately adopted a kitten from Southgate. You will never find a better or nicer vet than Dr. Mauro and Southgate Animal Hospital. There is no reason to go anywhere else.

  My pets have been treated at Southgate animal hospital for many years. Several years back my cat was hit by a car. It was at the end of business hours but we called Dr. Mauro she waited for us and stayed until he passed. Recently, my pug (my baby) Sophia passed from bone cancer. Dr. Mauro and staff helped her and my family through. They treated Sophia and us like we were family. They informed us every step of the way what was happening, how to care for her and when she passed let us stay with us for over two hours. I cannot express my gratitude for the overwhelming care, compassion and professionalism shown by the doctors and staff.

  help when no one else can

  Hey everybody this is our story.
  
  Not too long ago my dog ruffy was hurt. We were scared and confused and. Didn't know what to do. We especially didn't have much money on us to pay for care for ruffy. Together we probably had maybe twenty dollers to our name. No one and I mean no one would see our dog with payment. Thay basically said no money by by doggy. Then we got he number for the southgate animal hospital and they saw our dog. They treated him so great and were very imformative and they understood our money situation. They did not turn our dog away just because we didn't have much money. They helped us when no one else would. Thanks to them we still have ruffy.

  Wonderful vets

  We took my boyfriend's dog to this place, and the vet was so nice! My bf's dog had trouble with his back legs (he's old), and we got some pills for him to help him walk better. We didn't have to wait very long (maybe 20 minutes), but the vet took her time checking him out. She was very thorough and friendly. The rest of the staff here is nice as well.
