    Cassi Mahlum
    Veterinary Tech School: Bel-Rea Institute

    Cassi is originally from central Minnesota and moved to Colorado 2005.  She was introducted to the VCA family in 2013 during an internship from The Bel-Rea Institute where she graduated with her technician degree.  Cassi joined the VCA Southeast Area staff on a transfer from another VCA hospital.  Most of her free time is divided between spending time in the park with her husband and son and taking care of their 5 cats and a blind dog.

    Janae Kaser
    Veterinary Tech School: Bel-Rea Institute

    Janae is a native of Boulder, Colorado.  She has always loved animals and had a desire to help them.  She loves exploring Colorado with her sidekick Virgil, a sweet lab.  She enjoys reading, movies and board games.

    Janae is a recent graduate of the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology and passed her national board exam to become certified.  We are lucky to welcome such a compassionate technician to our team.

    Jessica LeVine
    Veterinary Tech School: Bel-Rea Institute

    Jessica graduated from the Bel-Rea Institute in December 2013 after a 10 week internship at VCA Southeast Area.  As an intern, she fit in so well with our staff, we simply had to keep her.  She now has an Associates Degree in Applied Science of Veterinary Technology and will be taking her Certification exam in March.  Jessica has been a Colorado resident for the past 10 years and her furry friends include two dogs, a rabbit and a hampster.  She enjoys science fiction television and reading.

    Kristy Paulsen
    Veterinary Tech School: Bel-Rea Institute

    Kristy graduated from the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in March, 2012.  She joined the VCA Southeast Area Certified Technician team in August 2012.

    Kristy has lived in Denver since 1983 and enjoys spending time hiking, bowling, reading and playing with her cats.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Andy Artemyeff
    Veterinary Tech School: Bel-Rea Institute

    Andy was born and raised in Long Island, New York and after working for animal hospitals and caring for animals, moved to Denver in December 2010 to attend the Bel-Rea Institute to become a Veterinary Technician.  Since graduation in September, 2014, Andy has moved from a kennel assistant to a veterinary assistant position while awaiting his board certification.  Although he loves dogs and cats, his long term goal is to work with tigers and other exotics.  In his spare time he enjoys exercise, music, movies and reading.
