Technician SupervisorDeirdre Lynch
Deirdre has been working at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital for 13 years. Prior to working at VCA, Deirdre worked for a large animal clinic in Ireland. She moved to the United States in 1997. Deirdre is a very talented anesthesia and emergency technician. In addition to her lovely Irish accent, she gives our staff and veterinarians many reasons to admire her strength and courage. Deirdre likes to visit her homeland and love spending time with her husband, son, and adorable puppy.
Certified Veterinary TechnicianTammy Griffin
Tammy has been working at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital for the past 19 years as a veterinary technician. Tammy graduated from a veterinary technician program at the University of Maine in 1988. In her tenure at the hospital she has endured many changes and is looking forward to what the future brings. Tammy is married and has a 9-year-old son Colin; Colin hopes to be a veterinarian when he grows up. Tammy also has a yellow lab named Jack and orange Tabby cat named Oscar.
Certified Veterinary TechnicianLeslie Leach
Leslie has been working at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital as a certified veterinary technician since 2001. Leslie is originally from Wisconsin, moving to Massachusetts 12 years ago. Leslie is married, has a beautiful 5 year-old daughter and a lovely 15-year-old step daughter. She also shares her home with her first "baby", Harley, an 8-year-old Boxer dog. Leslie graduated from a veterinary technician program in Bloomington, Minnesota in 1995. Since joining our staff, Leslie has worked in many areas of the hospital; learning and growing with each experience. Leslie is looking forward to grow with our new facility and is excited to continue to provide our clients and pets with the same great care they expect from VCA, only on a much bigger scale.
Certified Veterinary TechnicianJackie Levy
Jackie graduated from Mount Ida College with an Associate's degree in the Veterinary Technology program in 2001. She achieved CVT accreditation in December of 2001.
Jackie obtained a position as a technician at VCA Roberts Animal Hospital, in 2000. She was promoted to hospital co-manager in 2005. In December of 2008, Jackie received CCRP accreditation from the University of Tennessee Canine Rehabilitation program. Since then, she has been providing part-time canine rehabilitation services (similar to physical therapy for humans) mainly for post-surgical neurology patients, at our hospital.
In addition to her work in the veterinary field, Jackie also has an interest in canine behavior, and has been teaching group puppy and obedience classes since 2001. In March of 2008 she became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (Knowledge Assessed) through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). She is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. She hopes to be able to earn the VTS-Behavior credentials in the future which will allow her to provide behavior recommendations and training to patients of veterinarians and pet parents pet's.

Tracey has been working at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital since 2003, becoming a certified veterinary technician in 2005. Tracey enjoys working in all areas of the hospital but primarily works in the ophthalmology service with Dr. Pumphrey.

Lauren is a graduate of Quinnipiac College and has been working in the animal medical field for 7 years. She has been part of the VCA community since 2006 and currently works in the anesthesia and surgery department. Lauren became a licensed veterinary technician in 2009. Lauren and her husband share their home with their 6 year-old Boxer named Murphy and their fresh 3 year-old Boston terrier named Finn.
Certified Veterinary TechnicianLaurie Smith
Laurie is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has been working at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital for 21 years. She began as a kennel nurse on weekends and during the summers while attending The University of New Hampshire. She graduated with a BS in Animal Science and continued working at South Shore as a Head Nurse for several years. Laurie developed a love for surgery and trained to become a surgery and anesthesia technician where she has continued to work to this day. As the hospital grew, Laurie also took on the responsibility of purchasing and became the Medical Supply Manager. She lives at home with her husband, two children, her dog Kassie, and her three recently adopted kittens (Lucy, Linus, and Charlie.)
Cathy graduated from University of Conneticut with a degree in Animal Science and has been working been working in the animal medical field for 25 years. She has been with VCA for 20 years and works in radiology and emergency critical care. Cathy is married and has 2 kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 3 horses.
