Local Medical Issues

When temperatures rise, it is so important to make sure your pets are protected from the heat. Never leave a pet in a car, even for a short period of time. Even on warm days, the temperature inside of your car can skyrocket to over 100 degrees in a matter of minutes. This can lead to heat stroke and dangerous body temperature levels in your pets. Leave them at home with a place to get out of the heat with lots of cool, fresh water to drink. For pets with light fur coats or limited hair on their ears, protect their skin with pet safe sun screen just like you would your own. Pet's are susceptible to skin damaging rays from the sun too. Lastly, don't forget that those yummy barbeques in the summer with lots of juice meats grilling away can mean big stomach aches and illnesses for your pets. Keep your pets on a consistent, high quality diet and avoid table scraps.

Don't forget that boarding can fill up fast and we do need your pet to be up to date on vaccinations and fecal testing at least two weeks prior to their arrival to stay with us. We want to make sure that your travels are smooth and without worry so make sure you schedule your pets for their annual physical exam and vaccination updates soon.

Accreditations & Affiliations
American Animal Hospital Association

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
