Animals have always been a passion of mine ever since I can remember " when I was little I wanted to turn into a lion when I grew up, but when reality hit that this wasn’t a possibility, I went for the next best thing! I graduated from Washington State University in 2014, with a degree in Zoology. My whole life I dreamt of going to South Africa, and in the summer of 2013, my dream finally came true. I did a volunteer project on a private reserve, helping the staff collect data and preserve the life of the animals that inhabited there. This sparked in me the desire to work in the animal field even more, and my hopes are to continue learning and growing in the animal health care field and eventually get involved even more in wildlife conservation. Until then, I am enjoying my time here at VCA, and am a proud parent of my two cats Chloe and Naomi.
