Curtis Cianci, VMD, Medical Director

Dr. Curtis Cianci was born and raised near Philadelphia, PA. He first gained interest in veterinary medicine after attending an Explorer's program in junior high school. He received a Bachelor's degree in Biology at Penn State University in 1981. Following this he worked as a research assistant in equine surgery at New Bolton Center, the University of Pennsylvania's large animal hospital. During these years he also attended graduate studies part time at the university of Delaware. He received a Masters Degree in Animal Science in 1985, and that same year was accepted to the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 1989.
Dr. Cianci joined VCA Animal Hospitals in 1998 and has been the Medical Director at Shrewsbury since 2001. He enjoys general practice, surgery and dentistry. He will examine all small pets including birds, reptiles, small mammals and pet pigs. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, and the Jersey Shore Veterinary Medical Association.
For fun, Dr. Cianci enjoys golf and running. He also enjoys traveling, hiking, biking and other outdoor activities.
Dr. Cianci is also active at his church, Holy Trinity Lutheran, in Red Bank, NJ. He is presently the Church Council President. Dr. Cianci has also served as Financial Secretary, Endowment Fund Chairperson and a Youth Ministry Leader
