Dave is a graduate of S.U.N.Y. Canton and has been working with Shop City Animal Hospital as a licensed veterinary technician since 1986. His years of experience have made him a wonderful teaching asset to clients and colleagues. He has become an expert in ensuring that every patient remains comfortable during procedures and hospitalization.
During his spare time, Dave enjoys spending time with his cat Susie and his dog Ellie, relaxing at his camp in Alexandria Bay and gardening.

Becky is a graduate of Veterinary Technology from State University of New York at Canton. She has also achieved two other A.A.S Degrees one in Animal Management from Jefferson Community College and another in Agricultural Science from State University of New York at Morrisville. She has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician with our team since 2008. Becky has brought a loving and compassionate work ethic to our team, with many years of experience working with animals at zoos and other Veterinary clinics.
In Becky’s spare time she likes to spend time with her dogs "Dory","Lady", and "Flora" and her Cat "Ursula". She enjoys many activities outdoors and has a very creative side. She is also received her license for wildlife rehabilitation in 2006
Veterinary AssistantMissy Sackett
School: SUNY College at Oneonta, Bachelors
Missy began working in the animal field at the age of 16, when she obtained an internship at a local veterinary hospital. Since then she worked as a veterinary assistant in several companion and exotic animal practices over the years before joining our team here in 2006. Missy is a graduate of Oneonta State and SUNY ESF Colleges, and she has earned a Bachelor of Science and Wildlife Biology. Her animal experience also includes working as a caregiver in a dog day care facility, as well as an assistant keeper at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park.
Missy's special interests include animal behavior, animal husbandry, and wildlife conservation and management. She is currently working toward obtaining her license as a wildlife rehabilitator.
Missy is happiest when out in nature, and she enjoys camping, hiking, and snow shoeing in her spare time. She also greatly enjoys spending time with her two cats "Thomas" and "Pooka," as well as two chinchillas, and two lovebirds.
