Birte Kalz grew up in both the United States and Germany. She attended vet school at the University of Giessen in Germany and graduated in 1996. She then took the necessary exams to work in North America before immigrating to Canada. In 2003, she moved to California. She has always enjoyed the variety and challenge of both internal medicine and surgery. In her free time, she enjoys being in nature with her son and her husband.
