Biography

Dr. Kristen Colleran received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois. She graduated with honors in Small Animal Medicine from the National University of Ireland, University College Dublin in 1999.


Following graduation, Dr. Colleran spent 2 years working in Ireland, treating pets as well as farm animals and horses. She then returned Stateside and turned her focus to small animals. Having been exposed to the healing effects of alternative medicine, personally and through the patients of a colleague practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine, she felt that she could best serve her patients with a more a holistic approach. In 2009, Dr. Colleran completed her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture. She is currently studying for certification in Chinese Herbal Medicine and has an interest in physical rehabilitation and pain management. She is an experienced diagnostician and surgeon, and with her training in holistic medicine, she can offer an integrated approach to treating many common medical conditions.


In her spare time, she enjoys relaxing at the beach, reading, running, and hiking with her lovable Labrador, Duke.
