Dr. Shaw is Wonderful
-Susan Josephson from Diamond Bar, CA
Pet Name: Pippin
I drive a pretty long distance to be able to have Dr. Andrea Shaw take care of my animals (Pippin, Maddy & Annabelle) for a reason -- Dr. Shaw is an amazing veterinarian! I have had many through the past 35 years of loving my animals, and Dr. Shaw is by far the best I've ever had. Her genuine caring for them and me, her broad and vast knowledge of veterinary medicine, the ongoing education she pursues, her willingness to be very available by phone when they are ill, and her ability to come alongside me so supportingly when some have passed on are just some of the wonderful qualities she possesses. I trust her and am very thankful for having found her. I highly recommend her! And the staff are also very caring and helpful! -
Mange
-Amanda A from Monrovia, CA
Pet Name: BRUNOI had been to other animal hospitals and out of the ones I visited I loved the VCA Santa Anita Animal Hospital the best. My baby (my chihuhua) saw Dr Jeffrey Najarian for a condition called mange. Dr Najarian was amazing i could totally tell he was interested in my pets well being. He did some testing and confirmed that Bruno had mange. He took quality time and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. He made me feel like he is one of those doctors that got in to the field for the love of animals and not the love of money. He ordered some medication for bruno and in no time my Brunies was back to his old self. Not only was the doctor great but i have to say the staff was friendly and loving too. Thank you VCA. I will always bring Bruno to them and no where else.

Patches' Surgery
-Maria from El Monte, CA
Pet Name: PatchesPatches is my dear little DSH Tuxedo who was rescued a bit over a year ago from being stuck under a car when he was at most 3 wks-1 month. Early March Patches went missing looking for his brother under the house. He was found after looking for him for a while. Patches was doing ok, just a bit scared. It was until a few days later when his right eye became severely swollen. The size of a golf ball. Patches was provided with warm compressions. Nothing helped.
Patches eye was so bad that he was taken to the VCA, Santa Anita. The staff was wonderful. They took us in without any problems. This being Patches first vet visit. Dr. Najarian at Santa Anita VCA checked Patches & said that he had an abscess on his right eye that required surgery to remove the puss that he had accumulated in this pouch under eye. Patches was left at VCA Santa Anita & due to his surgery he was kept til the next day. He had "a small (0.6mm) draining track was created to allow continued drainage of the puss and fluid"
Patches was very uncomfortable at home and in a lot of pain. He was provided with medical that Dr. Najarian had prescribed for him.
Thanks to the staff at VCA Santa Anita & Dr. Najarian, Patches had a quick & healthy recovery. His eye is better looking now. The hairs that were shaved off have grown back, and so have his long whiskers. They made Patches' & I first visit to a vet as stress free & caring as possible.
Thank you for the great job VCA Santa Anita!!
