We are proud to take care of our feline patients. We know that bringing your cat to the vet can be stressful in itself. From the time you pull the carrier out (that is if we even have a carrier), most of us have to fight with our cats to get them out from under the bed, or behind the couch. They are so smart!
We want to make this trip as easy and pain free as possible. That's why we offer free pet carriers (while supplies last) for any client who needs to bring their cat in to see us. Just let us know you need a carrier and we will get it ready for you to pick up to transport your kitty. You can even keep it after the visit.
We recommend all cats be transported to the vet in a pet carrier to they can be handled safely and the risk of them getting lost or injured goes significantly down. Once we get your cat inside the hospital we will put you into a room so your cat doesn't have to listen to any dogs that may be in the lobby barking. We want them to have as little stress as possible.
We are fully equipped with Feliway, a pheromone that helps alleviate your cats stress and fear, to help their transition.
Every cat reacts differently to coming to the vet. Some cats, don't really mind, while others turn into a cat we have never seen before.
We know this is challenging for you as a pet owner. Some cats do perfect in the same room with their owners, and some cats do better in away from their mom and dad.
While we consider Dr. Alleman is our feline specialist, Dr. Cowser and her both take pride in all of their feline patients. You will not be disappointed. Schedule a visit for your cat to come in and let us help you make this trip easy!
