DVM, Western University of Health Sciences

Biography

Dr. Heathcock is originally from Northeastern Ohio, where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Master of Science in Applied Anatomy. She quickly fell in love with southern California while attending veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in May of 2008, Dr. Heathcock completed a rigorous 12 month long rotating internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington D.C. Here she developed an interest in internal medicine, emergency medicine, dermatology and dentistry. She loves general practice because of the development of great client-patient-doctor relationships and the ability to treat the pet as a whole. Dr. Heathcock enjoys working with dogs and cats, and is dedicated to providing the best possible care. She couldn't stay away from the beautiful state of California, and is very excited about joining the family at VCA Saddleback. Dr. Heathcock is looking forward to meeting you and your loved ones.
