    Cheryl Hamilton
    Veterinary Tech School: Foothill Community College

    Cheryl has been with SAMG since 1981! She has always had a heart for animals and knew that the field of veterinary medicine is where she belonged. She graduated from Foothill College in 1980 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. For many years she focused her skills in the areas of surgical nursing and anesthesia, and now enjoys all aspects of animal care.


    Cheryl shares her home with her husband, 3 college age children, and a menagerie of four legged friends including dogs, cats, horses, chickens, turtles, and a cockatiel.
    Her leisure time is spent in the outdoors, gardening, riding her horse, and spending time with family and friends.

    Michele Bowser
    Veterinary Tech School: Consumnes River College
    School: University of California, Davis

    Safety Officer

    Michelle was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She wanted to work in the field of Veterinary Medicine since the age of eight. She attended the University of California Davis, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree with the intent of attending Veterinary School, but found the Veterinary Technician role better suited her personality. In 2003 she graduated from the Consumnes River Veterinary Technology Program and became licensed in 2004. She has what she believes to be the greatest job in the world and she is grateful that clients entrust her with the care of their dearly loved companions.

    Katee Burns
    Veterinary Tech School: Carrington College

    Katee is an RVT that has been with SAMG for 3 years. She is a busy mom of 4 and work is her "adult fun" time. Katee loves all aspects of vet medicine, but mostly enjoys monitoring anesthesia and emergencies. She has a 4 year old, female, mixed breed dog named "Meeka". Meeka loves to go on jogs and hikes and spend every second with Katee and her children. "Piper" is her 4 yr. old, female, tabby cat that Katee bottle fed during tech school. Piper now spends her days sleeping on the bed and not much else.

    Kristina Hanson
    Veterinary Tech School: Yuba College

    Kristina started in the veterinary field when she was a senior in high school. For her senior project she worked with a veterinary clinic redoing their website, from there she started working with them as a kennel assistant. After graduating from Yuba College Veterinary Technology Program in 2004 she accepted an internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Kristina joined our team at SAMG back in 2011. Most of her 12 years as a veterinary technician has been spent in emergency medicine. She really enjoys the mix of general medicine and emergency cases we see here at SAMG.

    Kristina has 3 Chihuahuas, Scarlet and Stewie were rescue dogs and Stella who started as a foster and she just fell in love. She also enjoys spending her time fostering and bottle feeding kittens.

    Brenda Hasko
    Veterinary Tech School: University of California, Davis

    Brenda earned her BS in Animal Science from UCD and has been a licensed RVT sincen 1987. She has been a part of the SAMG family since her senior year in High School. And although she took a break to raise her kids it feels like she never really left. In total she has been a part of SAMG for 15 years!
     

    Brenda's passion for animals started as soon as she could talk. The story is that she learned to say  "dog" before she said "mom".  Brenda has her own personal zoo at home consisting of; 4 human kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 5 turtles, a blue tongue skink, her daughters 4H bunnies, chickens, honey bees and her patient husband.

    Rebecca Lee
    Veterinary Tech School: Consumnes River College

    Rebecca grew up loving animals, always having an assortment of animals around, from pocket pets to cats and dogs. At age 12 she knew she wanted to work with animals. Straight out of high school went to Consumnes River College and erolled in their Veterinary Technician program. She graduated in 1994 From Consumnes River College with an AS degree in Veterinary Technology.

    She joined the SAMG team July of 1994. She loves working in a clinic that has a high standard of care and enjoys working with the clients and her co-worker at SAMG. She has focused her skills on dentistry.

    She currently lives with 5 cats, a dog, 2 gold fish, a daughter and husband. They all keep her busy when she is not here.

    Emily Zinn
    Veterinary Tech School: Consumnes River college

    Emily is a loving and caring member of our veterinary support staff who loves emergency medicine. She is a lead technician and has been with us for almost 10 years.
