    Gail Donohoe

Gail has been at SAMG for several years. Before coming to SAMG she worked in retail pharmacies for 16 years.

She has always had an interest in pharmaceuticals and how useful they can be in the human industry. Since being at SAMG she has found how useful they are in the animal world as well.

In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and children as well as several pets she has aquired while working at SAMG.

She came to us with extensive customer service experience, as well as an innate ability to anticipate the needs of both clients and patients at any given moment. She has 3 children, 1 fluffy kitty named Claws, and most recently a new puppy named Princess Buttercup.

    Erin Shrum

Erin joined the SAMG family in 2011. Her passion working within the animal field has always had an emphasis on educating the public about wildlife in its natural habitat. She spent a couple years in Maui, Hawaii doing ecotourism adventures with the Pacific Whale Foundation and more recently as an educational docent at the Sacramento Zoo. Her hope is to continue in this direction, but has found a special love for our clients and patients here at SAMG.

Specialty Care

Sometimes sick or injured pets need the care of a veterinary medical specialist. When that happens, VCA specialty hospitals work closely with the general practitioner veterinarians who refer cases to us in order to provide seamless veterinary care to your pet. When your pet is facing any kind of serious illness or injury, our specialty referral hospitals will provide the compassionate and expert care your beloved pet needs.

Our goal is to make sure that when you and your pet are in need that you have access to board certified specialists who are up to date on the very latest developments in their field. In our state of the art hospitals, our specialists also have access to the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools and techniques from ultrasonography and endoscopy to CAT scans and even MRI.

As part of the VCA family, we have over 83 specialty hospitals across the US and Canada which provide referral specialty care, so there may be one near you. Our specialized services include: behavior, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, integrative medicine, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, rehabilitation, reproduction, and surgery.
