Biography
Dr. Tom Edgar was born in Findlay, Ohio and lived in Detroit, Michigan and Lyndhurst, Ohio during his early years. He received a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from the Ohio State University in 1975 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1979 at Ohio State. He moved to Maryland in 1979 where he co-owned the Wheaton Animal Hospital in Wheaton, Maryland and practiced for four years before returning to his native Ohio.Dr. Edgar has been published in the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association and enjoys all aspects of the practice of veterinary medicine. He is a member of the Cleveland Academy of Veterinary Medicine and the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association.
Tom and his wife Lynn are the parents of a son and two daughters and also take pleasure in going for long walks with their dog Tripper and playing with their mischievous cat Lucky. Dr. Edgar enjoys being involved in his local church and in his spare time enjoys reading American history and writing music for guitar and piano.
