Dr. Dennis Wehrung was born in Pomeroy, Ohio where as a youngster he learned to be a "morning person" working in his father’s bakery. He received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Ohio University in 1972. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1976 at the Ohio State University. After graduation, Dennis moved to Massillon, Ohio where he co-founded the Countryside Animal Hospital.

Dr. Wehrung served the Greater Cleveland area by practicing as an Emergency Clinic clinician before moving to North Royalton where he has practiced since 1984.

He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Cleveland Academy of Veterinary Medicine.

Dennis and his wife, Barb are the parents of three sons. They have an interest in horseback riding and have cared for their own horses in years past. They also enjoy their dog Rudder and Chayse the cat. Dennis attentively follows the American political contests and also belongs to the Tusco Rifle Club.
