Dr. Bridgette Alam grew up in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She then went on to complete a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2007. In 2008, she completed a rotating internship in small animal internal medicine and surgery at the California Animal Hospital and Specialty Group in Los Angeles. She then decided to move back to the east coast where she worked as an Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian in Rhode Island and Massachusetts for the next 3 years before joining VCA Hanson and Plymouth in 2011. She is very happy to join the team at VCA Rotherwood Animal Hospital. Her interests include preventative care, internal medicine, and dentistry. In her free time she enjoys traveling, dining, theater, cooking and baking, yoga, and spending time with her husband, dog, and cat.
