Biography
Dr. William Greentree obtained his DVM degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He completed an internship at the University of Illinois and was awarded an Intramural Research Fellowship at the National Eye Institute in Washington D.C. where he helped to investigate the novel treatments for the prevention of diabetic retinopathy. He completed his residency in veterinary opthalmology at Iowa State University where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Greentree became Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 1998. He was the staff ophthalmologist at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston from 2001-2004 and at MedVet and Associates in Columbus, Ohio from 1997-2000. Dr Greentree joined VCA South Shore in 2004 and is now at VCA Roberts as of late 2012.
Dr. Greentree is an Adjunct Professor of Comparitive Opthalmology at the Ohio State University and a member of Pfizer's Global Ophthalmology Safety Council. He lectures nationally for VCA about the diagnosis and treatment of animal eye disease. Dr. Greentree has a special interest in the medical and surgical treatment of corneal disease, glaucoma, and cataracts.
