    Born and raised in the Seattle area, Jika has been with Redwood Since 1997. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science from WSU in 2003. She re-joined Redwood after graduation as our Care Coordinator and has now moved into the role of Hospital Manager

    Emily holds a BS degree in Ecology, Ethology and Evolution from the University of Illinois. She joined the staff at VCA Redwood Animal Hospital as an Animal Care Technician in 2007 after taking a long break from work in animal care to raise her two sons. She and her husband share their home with two shelties, an orange tabby, and a corn snake. In her spare time she and her dogs love to run agility and provide pet therapy to seniors. High on her list of leisure interests are photography, hiking, nutrition, and ethnic cooking.
