Kennel SupervisorTrace Fullum
After 17 years working in a field Trace did not enjoy, she decided that she should turn her attention to animals. Trace hasn't met an animal yet that doesn't make her smile and the feeling is mutual with our patients by the way they respond to her. Trace is like our own personal 'dog whisperer'!
A highlight in Trace's career was the time she spent in New Orleans, after hurricane Katrina, rescuing as many animals as she could.
Trace can't imagine herself doing anything else or a more rewarding career than caring for animals. She is committed to working with them for the rest of her life.

Cecilia is a French native who has been away from home for 19 years. Since she left France, she has not only lived in Seattle but also Japan, Spain and England. She now calls Seattle her home! When Cecilia was a kid, she had pets and always knew she wanted to work with them. It seemed like just a dream until she got hired as a 'canine carer' by a major dog welfare charity called Dogs Trust that she was volunteering for in the UK. When Cecilia moved back to Seattle in 2005, she worked for several doggie daycare facilities until she joined the team at the VCA Redmond Animal Hospital. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her dogs as well as taking care of her dog boarding business in her home in Newcastle called Doggies Heaven. She is a huge dog lover and can't imagine her life without them. Working at an animal hospital has been a dream of Cecilia's for a long time having worked in hospitality for 8 years. Cecilia says; "At VCA Redmond Animal Hospital every single employee is truly a pleasure to work with and she absolutely loves meeting all the pets that come by. I am so grateful everytime one of them is left under our care because each one is so unique and wonderful to be with!"

As a cashier at Petsmart, I would watch dogs go in and out of the salon. I hated just watching so after talking to management I was soon washing dogs too! After a couple of months Petsmart sent me off to the grooming academy and graduation was August 2002. Since then I've moved to the Seattle area. In July of 2003, I started here at Clipped Whiskers. What I enjoy most is the familiar faces(cat, dog or human variety) on a regular basis. This allows me to get to know every hair on each pet personally! While I do not do show cuts ofent I am always willing to take on a challenge. My best styles are for everyday use!
When not in the salon you'll find me working on my thesis or volunteering at Families & Friends of Violent Crime Victims and the Victim Assistance Center of Snohomish. Before college took over my life, I showed my horse, Gunner, on the Quarter horse circuit. What little time I do spend at home, my two cats Muse and Otter keep me quite entertained.
I've been working with animals doing kennels since I was a kid. After work I would watch the groomers work and it seemed like artwork to me. One of the groomers mentioned a school that I could attend, Masers Grooming Academy. I attended for a year in 2004 where I learned the different breeds and techniques needed and I've been grooming ever since. In February of 2007 I joined Clipped Whiskers and have really enjoyed meeting all the pets and owners!
When I'm not in the salon, I enjoy hanging out with my three dogs; Bandit, Maggie & Shakcra. I'm either grooming them, we're relaxing or taking long hikes. The woods are where we like to be the most!
