Cherise Hill
Staff Veterinarian DVM

Dr. Cherise Hill grew up on a ranch in northern Nevada, which led to her love of animals as she treated the various animals there. She spent some time at college in the Midwest and then abroad in Prague, before discovering that Portland has a lot of similarities to that beautiful city. While finishing her undergraduate degree at Portland State University, she enjoyed volunteering with their Science Outreach Society helping children learn about science. She then fell in love with Corvallis while at Oregon State University for her Veterinary degree.

Before transferring to Raleigh Hills, she spent several years practicing in Salem while also working shifts at several emergency clinics in the area and spending her time off doing work as a home hospice veterinarian. Her special interests include endocrine diseases, emergency medicine, and pain management—especially in geriatric pets. She has her Fear Free certification and believes that both pet families and the veterinary staff should be a team to make cats and dogs veterinary visits low stress, and even fun!

Dr. Hill has a tiny 6-pound grey and white long-haired cat named Junipurr who "is 100% fluff," and Rhubarb, a cuddly but cantankerous long-haired orange female tabby cat who has to be sedated for every blood draw. When not working on projects on her home or at work, she spends much of her time outside gardening or volunteering with science educational groups.
