Scott Weller, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Scott Weller is a full-time general practitioner whose special interests include preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, and physical therapy (sporting dog injuries). Dr. Weller’s family raises Vizslas and he has a special affection for the breed and other hunting/working dogs. He understands that sporting dogs have different requirements for preventative care and are at risk for a wide range of accidents and injuries. Dr. Weller knows how important it is to ensure that these canine athletes stay in top health and peak performance.
Scott grew up less than 3 miles from the hospital and attended Wilson High School. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Washington State University. He started his veterinary career as a kennel assistant in Sun Valley, Idaho and worked for Bayer Animal Health prior to vet school. Dr. Weller graduated from Ross University and the University of Florida with his Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2011. He transferred back to “the neighborhood” from another VCA Animal Hospital and is happy to be working with the exceptional pets and their families in the Raleigh Hills community. When not working, Dr. Weller spends most of his time outdoors enjoying our beautiful state and can often be found fly fishing.
