    Suzanne Emerton, LVT
    Veterinary Tech School: Columbia State

    Suzanne has been with VCA now for 14 years. Her current animal companions are three dogs named Biscuit, Toto and Dodo, and 6 horses named Churney, Storm, Squirt, Babe, Cummings and Renegade. In her spare time she loves riding her horses and showing them, spending time with her family, farming with her husband and going to church.

    "I enjoy working with animals and taking care of them. I am proud of our team of doctors and staff and the work they do to provide quality care for our clients and their pets."

    Marla Beason
    Veterinary Tech School: Columbia State College

    Marla has been with VCA Ragland & Riley for over 19 years. She is a Licensed Vererinary Technician and is a staff supervisor. Her current animal companions include a border collie named Tre and two tomcats named Coogie and Puss. Outside of work, she enjoys her kids, flowers, nature, church, coaching basketball and playing and helping maintain a small farm of Gelbvieh cattle.

    "I enjoy talking with the clients. It makes you feel good to provide education to them that builds confidence about what we do and how well we take care of their pet." 


  • Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Jaime Cooper

    Jaime has been with VCA now for 4 ½ years. She was a farmer and a logger before joining our team.  Her current animal companions include 7 horses, 6 dogs and 2 cats. She also has a 175 cow/calf farm. In her spare time she loves barrel racing and anything that pertains to horses!

    "I love the challenge of working with animals and helping find out what is wrong with them."


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Beth Bostion

    Beth has been with VCA now for 5 years. She has over 25 years of experience as a technician. Her current animal companions are Callie and Larceny, both horses, Heidi, her dog and Crosby her kitty. In her spare time, she teaches a preschool class at her church and likes hiking, horseback riding, reading and helping with boy scouts.

    "I enjoy making sure that each pet receives the best possible care. I love to talk with the clients and reassure them when they are nervous or scared about their pet's health. It is very rewarding."

    Hope Hunter

    Hope worked here as a teenager and then decided to pursue a B.S. in Zoology. She has been with VCA now for a year. She has two dogs named Willow and Echo and a cat named Nico. In her free time, she loves reading, cooking, gardening and playing disc golf!

    "I love caring for the animals and lending a helping hand where ever I am needed."

    Whitney McCratic

    Whitney has been with VCA now for 3 years. Her current animal companions include 2 dogs. Her favorite breed of dog is the border collie. Outside of work, she loves hiking, spending time with family and traveling.

    Crystal West

    Crystal’s experience previous to this job was an Equine tack sales associate while she was in college. She also worked as a small animal and exotic sales associate at Petsmart. She has been with VCA now for three years. Her roles in our hospital as a veterinary assistant include helping in customer service, animal care, helping our doctors or helping fellow coworkers on getting a task done. She has three dogs named Freckles, Shilo and Sadie. Outside of work, she enjoys riding and training her horses, reading, boating, spending time with family and traveling.
