Fortunately for me I found this field because I had a friend who always told me about her job as a veterinary technician and how much she loved it. I was looking for something in my life that had more meaning and made me feel fulfilled about what I did everyday so it was a perfect choice. I have always loved animals and it was a natural process for me to adjust to this new profession because of that passion. Becoming a true advocate for these amazing creatures is something I am truly proud to be a part of and see myself doing for a very long time to come.

For me it’s never been an option to have animals not be a part of my life; so, it’s only natural to want to work with them. “If you love what you do, then you’ll never work a day in your life.” That’s what coming to work every day feels like. I truly enjoy animal’s instantaneous love and companionship. Being able to experience that every day makes it all worth it to me. Knowing in my heart that what I do on a daily basis makes a difference in pet’s and owner’s lives is why I love working at VCA Promenade Animal Hospital.

I've been around animals since the age of 4 and from then on the love grew. Blessed, my parents allowed me to have animals throughout my youth. To this day I still get to share my love with Arthur, my sweet 16 year old turtle. I wanted a career that allowed me to continue to share my love and help all the animals in need. I love this occupation because it allows me to interact with all types of animals and create a bond with them that is unforgettable. I get to be surrounded by animals all day and love them unconditionally. How many people can say that they love what they do because I certainly can.

I have always loved animals and had a special connection with them since childhood. My affinity for animals grew through my studies in college. I wanted to learn more which led me to pursue my career in the veterinary field in the fall of 2000. I worked in all departments of the animal hospital learning all aspects of animal care. Working in the veterinary field is very rewarding. As a veterinary technician we get to help our patients in all aspects of their health. I chose the veterinary profession as a career because it is very rewarding to see our patients live longer and healthier lives due to our care.

Ever since I can remember, I have been in love with animals.  I've always had that special connection with them, being their voice when they couldn't speak for themselves.  At the age of fourteen I started working in a kennel and have then worked my way up to be a Technician.  I have loved every second of it since!

Years ago when my husband and I would make visits to our veterinarian with our first kitten and puppy, I remember thinking how nice it would be to work there. Today, working in an animal hospital allows me to be with so many different dogs and cats every day as well as meet many wonderful people.  I am very blessed to have the best of both worlds - a loving family at home, including two very silly French Bulldogs and two cats, and a dedicated, caring family at VCA Promenade.
