Fortunately for me I found this field because I had a friend who always told me about her job as a veterinary technician and how much she loved it. I was looking for something in my life that had more meaning and made me feel fulfilled about what I did everyday so it was a perfect choice. I have always loved animals and it was a natural process for me to adjust to this new profession because of that passion. Becoming a true advocate for these amazing creatures is something I am truly proud to be a part of and see myself doing for a very long time to come.

For me it’s never been an option to have animals not be a part of my life; so, it’s only natural to want to work with them. “If you love what you do, then you’ll never work a day in your life.” That’s what coming to work every day feels like. I truly enjoy animal’s instantaneous love and companionship. Being able to experience that every day makes it all worth it to me. Knowing in my heart that what I do on a daily basis makes a difference in pet’s and owner’s lives is why I love working at VCA Promenade Animal Hospital.

I have always loved animals and had a special connection with them since childhood. My affinity for animals grew through my studies in college. I wanted to learn more which led me to pursue my career in the veterinary field in the fall of 2000. I worked in all departments of the animal hospital learning all aspects of animal care. Working in the veterinary field is very rewarding. As a veterinary technician we get to help our patients in all aspects of their health. I chose the veterinary profession as a career because it is very rewarding to see our patients live longer and healthier lives due to our care.

It sounds like such a cliché to say, but I’ve chosen this profession because I love animals, I always have. I also enjoy interacting with and meeting new people. Some of our clients here at VCA Promenade Animal Hospital are almost like family. I truly enjoy helping their pets and educating them on how to properly care for them.

I’ve been a technician for many years now and consider myself lucky to have a job that I love as much as I do.

When I was a little girl I always loved dogs and other animals. That’s why I chose to work in the veterinary field. I have the passion and love to take care of animals. I love to help the animals when they are hurt or sick and need to feel better. That’s why I’m happy I chose this field. I get to hug and cuddle them at the end of the day and know that they are well and a good visit at the hospital.

I was raised around veterinary medicine almost my whole life, as my mother was a veterinary technician. My home has been a residence for animals as long as I can remember. Snakes, sugar gliders, kittens, turtles, hamsters, rats, and even a chicken. I have a constant companion, Max. He is a Schnauzer mix, very loving, but not a cat lover. I on the other hand love cats, so working in an animal hospital allows me to enjoy them. Animals have unconditional love and kindness, which is why working in an animal hospital seemed like a good fit for me.
