Kathryn Tuxbury, DVM, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Tuxbury joined VCA Povar Animal Hospital in October 2012. She attended graduate school at Iowa State University prior to veterinary school, receiving her MS degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She then attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2005. After veterinary school she completed a one-year small animal medicine and surgery internship at New England Animal Medical Center in West Bridgewater, MA. She then completed a two-year internship in exotic and aquatic animal medicine and surgery at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD. She has strong interests in internal medicine and exotic animal medicine, including work with reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, fish and some bird species. Dr. Tuxbury also works part-time at the New England Aquarium in Boston, MA.
