After growing up in Maine, Kate left New England to attend the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Denver Colorado. Kated earned an associates degree in Animal Science and her National Certification in 1999, and spent her clinical rotation at Alamedia East Animal Hospital (of the famed Emergency Vets on Animal Planet). Since graduating Kate has lived and gained invaluable experience in Santa Fe New Mexico (mixed practice), Lafayette Louisiana (small animal), Warwick Rhode Island (small animal practice and as a surgical technician for a board certified surgeon), finally settling in Sterling Connecticut in 2003 and with us in 2004. In her off time you can find her in a corner with her nose in a book, err Kindle. If not reading, Kate is spending time with her husband Rick, son Ryan and Henry the dog.
