Biography

Dr. Willhite grew up in upstate New York on a rural dairy farm, the only girl of four children. She graduated from high school in 1991 and then attended the Rochester Institute of Technology. In 1995 she graduated from R.T.I. with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biotechnology. During her undergraduate career she received many honors including all four years on Dean’s List, Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society and the Baldwin Scholarship for excellence in Science. She continued her education at Cornell University studying veterinary medicine and graduated with highest honors (including awards for excellence in small animal internal medicine and large animal surgery) in 1995. Immediately after graduating from Cornell she moved to Atlanta and has been practicing small animal medicine at VCA Pets are People, too ever since. Her personal hobbies are mountain biking, hiking, camping, and motorcycling. Her professional interests include pain management, dermatology, anatomy, nutrition and soft tissue surgery.
