VCA Staff Must Really Love Their Jobs-Joseph from Atlanta, GA
Pet Name: Jack
I have been so impressed in the past year or so with the service and care my dogs and I have received at your hospital. MaryAnn clearly runs a tight and thoughtful ship.
I was broken-hearted last year when my girl Jessie was diagnosed with advanced stage cancer. Dr. Woods helped me to understand what was happening, carefully explained the options and offered support in my difficult decision.
On my most recent visit, Gary was helping another client on the phone but nodded to let me know he would be right with me. Instead, Antoine stepped up and signed us in. Melodie met us in the exam room. She was so professional and knowledgeable that I mistook her for the vet. Dr. Draper kindly listened to me and carefully examined Jack. Then she explained the steps we would take and options for Jack's care.
I haven't received such attentiveness at my own (human) physician's office! The VCA staff must really love their jobs. I am so grateful to each of those who helped us.
Pet Rescue-Morningside Resident from Atlanta, GA
In early December my two dogs, a small and a large, broke through a newly vulnerable spot in the fencing in our yard. I spent an hour looking for them through the neighborhood with no luck. I returned home and received a call from PAPT (Ansley) Hospital Administrator Mary Ann Miller telling me that they had spotted and secured the small dog. She told me there was a large dog lurking close by. I confirmed that the large dog was also mine. Ms. Miller asked the kennel assistants to return outside with my leashed small dog in order to keep the large dog close by until I arrived. The large dog was staying on the other side of a high chain link fence. Both kennel assistants, Rodney Glaze and Shawn Bridges, went above the call of duty, helping me keep the small dog secure while unlocking a gated fence to retrieve the large dog. All of this involved their trampling into derelict property, first to retrieve the small dog and then to retrieve the large one. I am grateful for the thoughtfulness, intelligence, extra effort, concern, and friendliness of Ms. Miller, Mr. Glaze, and Mr. Bridges. Their employer should fully note and reward their professionalism and their value to PAPT and to the community.
THANK YOU-Becki Anthony from Marietta, GA
Pet Name: Scardey, Sasha, A.J.
I have to say that I have been going to this hospital for approximately 6 years now. They have ALWAYS been so compassionate and knowledgeable. I could never ask for a better clinic. I have seen Aaron Thivierge the last several times that I have had to come in. I don't have the words to say how wonderful he is. My cat Scardey just passed away and they were great about it. He had such care in his eyes. I just recently went back with Sasha the day before Thanksgiving for an issue with her foot. Everyone actually remembered me and my cat. You don't always get that kind of service. I have had the opportunity to go to other Vet Clinics because of moving and I will say this, I don't care how far I have to drive I will never go anywhere else! THANKS AGAIN!!!
THANK YOU-Shannon from Atlanta, GA
Pet Name: Saphire
I just wanted to thank you all for your help with my little Saphire. Saphire was a surprise birthday present for my daughter last year and we've been coming to you ever since she was a puppy. You guys really make her feel special and make us feel comfortable coming to you. You call to make sure she's ok. I appreciate that as well as you being open 24/7 and for the discount given on certain things on Wednesday's. Every little bit of help counts. Thank you from Shannon, Sasha and Saphire Williams.
Thank You-Stacy Denton from Atlanta, GA
Pet Name: Bella
I just wanted to say thank you for the great care I received at the Ansley Mall location this morning. I've been responsible for taking animals for vet visits since I first got my driver's license 16 years ago and this was one of the best experiences I've had.
My cat Bella has been struggling with (what appears to be) ringworm for the past several months. Prior to today, I had taken her to her regular vet four times, given her medication for 8 weeks, and nothing they gave me solved the problem. After the latest recurrence, I decided to get a second look.
From the gentleman that I spoke with on the phone (and who also checked me in), to the gentleman who checked me out, everyone was extremely friendly and professional. Dr. Woods took plenty time to explain his proposed course of action, never appeared rushed, and also gave her a thorough physical since she was a first time visitor. The veterinary technician who ran the tests even offered to trim Bella's nails as she (the cat of course) was scratching me through my shirt.
It was no less impressive that I was in and out in less than an hour. On a Saturday!
Many thanks to the entire team at Ansley-I'm glad I listened to the friend who referred me. You'll be seeing us again...
Incredible Service to Deserving Animals-Beattie from Atlanta, GA
The Pets Are People Too veterinarians and staff are incredible! I recently brought two feral kittens to be spayed, neutered and immunized. Another vet practice told me that feral kittens could not be socialized. The doctors at Pets Are People Too-especially Dr. Hayes and Medical Director Dr. Brad Phillips are terrific. All the staff are miracle workers! Within a few days, my once feral kittens are now tame and loving toward people, because of the wonderful care they received at Pets Are People Too. The evening emergency staff are truly amazing!! My former feral kittens are now adoptable-thanks to the dedicated, caring and loving staff at Pets Are People Too. Because this Hospital is fully capable of handling emergencies around-the-
clock, there is no reason to ever go anywhere else!! I will always be in their debt. Gratefully, Beattie
Most Honest and Helpful pet ER in Atlanta-Relieved and Grateful from Atlanta, GA
Pet Name: Dara Barrett
The ER doctor last night saved my dog's eye! Our 6lb poodle mix was attacked by a cat and had her eye badly scratched. Unlike other Emergency Vets in Atlanta, The ER doctor didn't try to rip me off by praying on my emotions and telling me she needed things that she didn't need (which happened at another vet last year when Dara ate some Chocolate). The total cost of the visit was less than the estimate, which never happens.
PLUS, the ER Doctor did suck a great job! The specialist he referred us to said the she couldn't have done a better job with a treatment plan and prescriptions. She left Dara on the regimen and medicines he prescribed. And credited him with saving her eye, saying we were VERY lucky that he started the appropriate treatment plan last night.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for saving my dog's vision without costing me my rent money.
Dr Phillips-Sylvia from Atlanta, GA
Pet Name: Marley
Marley and Me....have received such great kindness and care from Dr Phillips and his staff. We have been going now for a couple of years and although there are two vets within a couple of miles, and thank Heaven, Marley has nothing seriously bad except her appetite,...we trek to Midtown for her care...where everyone knows her and showers her with attention!
After food, attention being her favorite thing!!
Dr. Phillips-frank r seigel from atlanta, GA
Pet Name: Roxy
My Dachshund means everything to me. Dr. Phillips saved her life. I cannot stress how skilled this man is. He loves animals (he has dogs and cats and other little critters) and his skill is simply remarkable. He charges in a fair manner. I have made him the primary care doctor for both of my beloved dogs. His early diagnosis of Cushings Disease allows us to bring comfort to Roxy. He appears to have had very comprehensive training. I recommend him highly!!
BIG Thank You-Julie from Atlanta, GA
Pet Name: Juke
I can’t say enough good things about the vets and staff at VCA Pets are People Too. Around 1 am on a Sunday night, my cat Juke slipped out an unlocked 4th floor patio door that had crept open. We found him 3 floors down, impaled on a tree screaming for help. We rushed him to this amazing 24-hour veterinary clinic, with the tree branch still going right through his little tummy, and into the caring and skillful arms of the emergency vet, Dr. McFarlane. The miraculous 4-hour surgery she performed that night, and the incredible intensive care and recovery efforts of Dr. Olga, Dr. Phillips, Dr. Draper and the many vet techs and assistants over the next 6 days, saved Juke’s life after this horrible accident. Throughout his recovery, the amazing staff at VCA PAPT provided constant updates on Juke, and met my frequent calls and visits with caring, attentive support each and every time. The vets took so much time with me, explaining every procedure and medication, and I never felt rushed despite my never-ending questions at each visit. The vets and staff show that they truly care about your animal and always go over and above in the service they provide. I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the staff at VCA PAPT for the extraordinary skill, knowledge, attentiveness and care that went into saving my kitty’s life.
