  • Registered Veterinary Technician

    Samantha Joiner-Mathis
Veterinary Tech School: Gwinnett Technical College

Samantha Joiner joined our team in May 2012 after graduating from Gwinnett Technical College with a degree in Veterinary Technology and became a registered Veterinary Technician in the fall of 2013.

My why...Ever since I was a little girl growing up on a frm and assisting my godmother rehabilitate wildlife and domestic animals, I knew I wanted to work with animals in some way, shape or form. When I grew up, I earned my Associates degree in Business Administration and fell away from my dream because it was the easy way out. 4 years later I had my beautiful daughter. It was then that I decided to go back to school and live my dream. I thought, what kind of parent would I be if I told her to follow her dream and I did not follow mine. I went back to school and earned my degree and became a RVT. I couldn't be happier with my life. I get to work with animals all day, helping them feel better. Plus my daughter saw me study hard, graduate from college and follow my dream. Now she tells me all the time that she wants to grow up and work with animals just like me!
