  • Registered Veterinary Technician

    Samantha Joiner

Samantha Joiner joined our team in May 2012 after graduating from Gwinnett Technical College with a degree in Veterinary Technology and became a registered Veterinary Technician in the fall of 2013.

My why...Ever since I was a little girl growing up on a frm and assisting my godmother rehabilitate wildlife and domestic animals, I knew I wanted to work with animals in some way, shape or form. When I grew up, I earned my Associates degree in Business Administration and fell away from my dream because it was the easy way out. 4 years later I had my beautiful daughter. It was then that I decided to go back to school and live my dream. I thought, what kind of parent would I be if I told her to follow her dream and I did not follow mine. I went back to school and earned my degree and became a RVT. I couldn't be happier with my life. I get to work with animals all day, helping them feel better. Plus my daughter saw me study hard, graduate from college and follow my dream. Now she tells me all the time that she wants to grow up and work with animals just like me!

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Angela Caputi

Angela joined VCA Peachtree Animal Hospital in August of 2011.  She has been in this field for many years.

Why I do this is because I love animals first and foremost.  Its a very satisfying feeling to take care of and help innocent helpless creatures especially when they do so much for us.  They love us unconditionally, make us laugh and comfort us when we are sick or sad. They can help relieve your stress when you have had a bad day and make you feel better when you are sick. Animals adapt to changing situations so well unlike us sometimes. They don't get to choose but yet love and grow a bond of loyalty with whomever may take them.  These are some of the reasons why I enjoy giving back to the animals that give and teach me so much.

    Marcela Durante

The reason I work as a veterinary assistant is because I enjoy helping pets get better, moreover I love puppies!
