Zsolt has been with VCA Parkwood Animal Hospital since June 2004. He is a native of Hungary and acquired his veterinary degree from Saint Stevens Veterinary University of Budapest, Hungary. He's currently completing his National and State Boards to become a licensed veterinarian here in the United States. His favorite part of work is being around animals daily. His passion for animals has existed for as long as he can remember. Zsolt is an avid golfer and spends most of his free time on the golf course as a stress reliever or should we say, "stress factor"!
Jocelyn ( AKA "Josie" ) is the most recent addition to our VCA Parkwood Staff. A graduate of the Platt College RVT Program she is currently working toward obtaining her RVT License. In her free time she enjoys the company of her 8 year old Chihuahua "Oreo".
Kim Jimenez has been working for VCA Parkwood since summer 2013. She is a proud graduate of the Los Angeles Pierce College RVT program. She is currently working on getting her RVT license. She has had a strong love and passion for animals ever since she was a child, which motivated her to pursue a career in the veterinary field. She is a kind, friendly, compassionate, fun girl who is obsessed with Disney and Mickey Mouse. She has a 2 year old Great Pyrenees named Mickey whom she loves and adores. She enjoys making people laugh and smile and she is a wonderful addition to the VCA Parkwood family.
Zarui Melkonyan (also known as "Z") has been a technician at VCA Parkwood since March of 2004. Prior to this time, she volunteered at the East Valley Animal Shelter where she helped find homes for hundreds of homeless pets. In her spare time she volunteers at Wildlife Waystation in Tujunga. Her ultimate goal is to open a rescue for abandoned farm animals and other pets. Her current furry family includes one dog "King Tubby".
Valentina Serrano with her cat Stinky who she rescued at 1 day old. Valentina has been a vet tech for 12 years and has worked for VCA Parkwood Animal hospital since 2011. Valentina loves animals of all kinds and has recently volunteered at the Wild Life Way Station, where she helps with feeding, cleaning and socializing with lions, tigers, chimpanzees and other exotics. Valentina enjoys motorcycle riding in the mountains and being with her family.
Veterinary AssistantNicole Encalada
Nicole Encalada is valued member of our staff, Nicole has worked at VCA Parkwood Animal Hospital for 2 years, first as a volunteer kennel assistant, then later as a veterinary assistant. She loves animals and has enrolled in the RVT program at Los Angeles Pierce College.
