Veterinary Tech School: Bel-Rea
Nicola (Nicky) joined the VCA Park Hill team in January of 2015 after working in a veterinary specialty hospital. Originally from Victoria, Canada a western Province of British Columbia, Nicky grew up on a horse farm, complete with lots of barn cats, dogs and chickens. She helped with breeding, training, and showing horses professionally in Dressage, which her family imported from Germany. She completed an Associates Degree in Veterinary Office Management in 2006, and started working in the Veterinary industry as an Assistant and Receptionist. Nicky moved to the USA in 2008, after meeting her future husband on vacation in Hawaii. She then moved to Colorado in 2009 so both she and her husband could further their education. Nicky attended Bel-Rea Institute to complete her training as a Veterinary Technician. During that time she volunteered at Denver Dumb Friends League and Spay today to further her experience, and she graduated in 2013. In her free time, Nicky enjoys spending quiet time at home with her husband and plethora of animals, which includes: two cats, Mr. Kitty and Minnie; two Pacman Frogs, Bill and Ted; four Crested Geckos Calvin, Hobbes, Dillon and Suzy; and two Guinea Pigs, Flora and Fauna. Nicky also enjoys photography, gardening, painting, attending Rockies games in the summer and snowboarding with her husband in the winter.
Certified Veterinary TechnicianBeth Ingison
Beth grew up in Michigan and moved to Colorado in 2006. Beth was a cosmetologist for 7 years and is still licensed, however she has always wanted to work with animals so she decided to go back to school in 2008 to pursue an exciting new career. She graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in June 2010 and became a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in July 2010. Beth joined the VCA Park Hill team in August 2012. She has one Australian Shepherd named Luna who has endless energy. She loves taking Luna out for walks whenever she gets free time. Being able to take care of animals and work with them every day is very important to her and she loves every minute of it.
Certified Veterinary TechnicianStefanie Lesker
Stefanie has been working in the Veterinary field for about 10 years and graduated from Bel-Rea as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2004. Her family includes two Quaker parakeets named Cali (who is full of attitude) and Alfie (her little pirate who was relinquished after he was attacked by another bird and is missing part of his upper beak and a foot). Her most recent addition is Rodney, a Dumbo rat that loves to watch movies with her. She also has two Golden Retrievers named Lily and Albert that live with her part time. She is a Colorado native who loves to travel and photograph the outdoors. Her favorite past times include reading, hiking, and ballroom dancing. Working with animals has always been her passion and she has a special interest in Dentistry and exotics. Her favorite part of the day is working as a team and seeing happy clients and healthy patients.
