An Answer To Our Prayers
-Sharon Rowe from Conway, SC
Pet Name: Ch. Shroki's Color My World
My husband and I have bred and shown Shih Tzu for the past 20 years. Several years ago, my husband was going to transfer to SC due to work. I was on a mission to find a Vet in our area that understood the breed and that would work with us and our breeding program. I interviewed every Vet within a 50 mile radius and then I found Dr. Newman with VCA Animal Hospital. Dr. Newman has been an answer to our prayers. She understands the breed and is always open to new ideas. Her communication skills are the best.
Dr. Newman and her staff at VCA Palmetto Animal Hospital make "going to the Vet" a pleasure.
Thank you for being our Vet Hospital.
Beagle plus Dog Bite equals Fashion Statement
-Lynne Andersen from Myrtle Beach, SC
Pet Name: Scarlett
I have been long time client of VCA Palmetto but it wasn't until I adopted my beagle, Scarlett, that I ever needed anything beyond routine care.
Scarlett got into a fight with a dog twice her size, and I had to take her to the emergency vet. A few days later, I followed up with Dr. Stone. He re-stitched one of her wounds and answered all of my questions. Scarlett was disappointed that he didn't have a more fashionable alternative to her cone so I did what I could to make it more bearable.
I'm so impressed with the level of care from everyone at VCA Palmetto that I almost wish I could bring my kids here instead of to the family doctor.

Pet Name: Chloe and Bailey
I have taken my cat, Chloe (a/k/a Chlo-Bug) and dog, Bailey (a/k/a Boo Boy)to VCA for several years b/c of the love, care and time that they give on each and every visit. Whether it be for routine checks ups or major surgery visits, Dr. Stone has always made me understand their procedures and provided me with detailed estimates so that you are aware of all facts up front. Dr. Stone dedicates himself to his profession to care for each animal as if they were his own and it shows! Thanks Dr. Stone!

VCA Palmetto Animal Hospital Staff,
I would like to thank you all for the special care that you had given to my three 'babies' during all of their medical visits. As you all know, they were everything to me and were truly my life! Special thanks to Dr. Newman. I couldn't have asked for a better Doctor to care for them! Thank you for all that you have done and the compassion, love and care. Also I need to give a special thanks to Miss Tracy and Robert. They may think that they were only doing their job, but the two of them will stay with my thoughts forever, because; as with Dr. Newman, Tracy and Robert really brought a comfort with all of our visits there, no matter the reason of the appointment! Again Dr. Newman....Thank you!

The best place for my Furry Kids

Pet Name: Booger, Harley, Cody, and Corona
The staff is the greatest and truly care. We have 2 Coati's and 2 Dogs and they all love Dr. Stone and the entire staff. The oldest Coati has degenerative nerve damage that caused him to lose the use of his rear legs, finding Dr. Stone was a blessing for him. The other Coati was a rescue and does not trust new people but taking him to VCA was his first Dr. visit without blood shed. He could sense the care in the hearts of the staff and was totally relaxed. I recently made a wheelchair for Booger and of course we had to take him by for him to show it off, he had so much fun showing his girlfriends at VCA how he can run again. To him it's not a trip to the vet, it's a visit with friends. When Dr. Stone came out he ran to him to say hi then ran all around to show off his wheels. Dr. Stone treats him as a friend not a patient and Booger knows that he cares.

Drs. Bishop, Moland And Staff Top Notch
-Kristin and Jeff Thompson from Myrtle Beach, SC
Pet Name: Mia and Haley
We've spent some time at VCA in Myrtle Beach this year with two of our four rescue pets. We couldn't be more impressed by the level of medical care, compassion for the animals and their families, the friendly and professional staff as well as the comfort and cleanliness of the facility. We felt for more routine care, like vaccinations and even spaying it would be okay to use a veterinarian more convenient to where we live. We won't do that again! What you think may be routine, could indeed be anything but. Complications can result when you least expect them. And trust me, when your sweet and giving companion is suffering in part due to your choices, it's painful. From now on, our pets will be loyal patients of Drs. Bishop and Moland. Whether its routine vaccinations and check-ups or surgical intervention, we won't give our precious companions less than the best care available. Thanks everyone at VCA Palmetto in Myrtle Beach. We're so blessed to have you here. Smiles, Kristin
