Technician SupervisorLaura Pethke, CVT
I started working at VCA Pahle Animal Hospital in September of 2007. About a year ago, I was promoted to Technician Supervisor. I enjoy the daily challenges and also the interaction with the patients, clients and staff.
I was born in Milwaukee, WI and graduated from Martin Luther High School. Science was always my favorite subject. I passed the VTNE exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician after working at different hospitals to gain the experience without having to move to Madison for school.
My time away from the hospital is spent breeding and showing Miniature Bull Terriers. I travel to several dog shows every year. Any time that is left over is spent doing any sort of outdoor activities with my family. My greatest accomplishment was having two wonderful kids, Cameron and Kendra and being married to my high school sweetheart for over 13 years.
My favorite pet was my special needs Miniature Bull Terrier, Apple. She was very dear to me.
If I could meet anyone living or dead, I would definitely pick Kenny Chesney, because I love him!!!
Christmas is my favorite time of year because it's the one time of year my entire family is together!

Ever since I was a child my passion has been animals and I always knew I would make a career in caring for them.
My family and I have two pets at home: Bonnie, a domestic medium haired cat, and Carter, our chocolate lab. We plan to add a few horses and some chickens in the near future!
I look forward to meeting your pets and caring for them as I would care for my own pets!

I have been working at VCA Pahle Animal Hospital since June of 2009. I enjoy taking care of all the animals that come to the hospital and making sure they enjoy their stay no matter how short it may be.
I love reading animal body language. Watching an animal that comes in scared and being able to gain their trust, then watching them leave with more confidence always makes my day.
I enjoy movies, reading books outside in the sun with my African Spurred Tortoise, Milo, and playing with and training my American Staffy, Kaleb.

I earned my Veterinary Assistant degree from Milwaukee Career College. I did my 5 week internship at VCA Pahle Animal Hospital and they liked me so much they hired me! I am currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at Milwaukee Career College and hope to graduate this winter. I will then take the Veterinary Technician National Exam so I can receive my Veterinary Technician license.
Every Sunday I volunteer at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. I get the opportunity to work with many different kinds of wildlife.
I currently share my life with my cat, Dusty, but once I'm done with school I hope to adopt another cat and many, many Shih Tzus. My dream goal someday would be to have my own little farm sanctuary and rescue abused/neglected farm animals.
